From November 2–8, International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) festival World New Music Days takes place in Canada, Vancouver.
Estonia is represented by two works: Märt-Matis Lill’s ensemble piece „When the Buffalo Went Away“ that will be performed by ensemble Standing Wave on November 7 in Roundhouse Performance Centre, and Tõnu Kõrvits’s choir cycle „The Songs of Song of Songs“ that is in the programme of female choir Elektra on November 4 in Christ Church Cathedral.
ISCM is an international network of members from around fifty countries, devoted to the promotion and presentation of contemporary music. Each year, its festival is hosted in a different city around the globe. World New Music Days 2019 will take place in Estonia.
