On October 16 at 6 pm, concert of Estonian and Finnish orchestral music entitled Luminosities will take place in Casa da Música Suggia Hall in Porto, Portugal.
Orquestra Nacional do Porto will perform Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Lighthouse (1997) for string orchestra and Helena Tulve’s Extinction des Choses Vues (2007) for symphony orchestra. Orchestra will be conducted by Olari Elts, who has collaborated with Orquestra Nacional do Porto also earlier. In addition to Tüür and Tulve, concert program inclueds Kaija Saariaho’s Notes on Light for cello and orchestra (soloist Anssi Karttunen) and Jean Sibelius’s Symphony No. 3 as well.
