Music of Erkki-Sven Tüür in European concert halls

Erkki-Sven Tüür is one of most performed Estonian composers in the world. At the beginning fall season, a number of his works including „Zeitraum” (1992), Symphnoy No. 5 and „Noesis” will be performed by renowned musicians in many countries.

On September 12, Tüür’s double concerto „Noesis” for clarinet, piano and symphony orchestra was performed in Lepizig Gewandhaus. MDR-Sinfonieorchester was conducted by John Storgårds, soloists were Isabelle van Keulen (violin) and Michael Collins (clarinet). On September 23 and 25, the same work will be performed by Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra with Claus Peter Flor in Amsterdam Concertgebouw.

On September 14, Tüür’s Symphony No. 5 was presented in Belgrad Kolarac Hall with Symphony Orchestra and Jazz Orchestra of the Serbian Radio-Television conducted by Aleksandar Markovic.

On October 5, 6 and 7 Chicago Symphony Orchestra with Paavo Järvi plays Tüür’s „Zeitraum” in Chicago Symphony Center.

A new work by Tüür is coming in late fall: on November 22, 23 and 24, his Piano Concerto with Austrian pianist Thomas Larcher and hr-Sinfonieorchester conducted by Paavo Järvi will be premiered in Alte Oper, Frankfurt am Main.
