Arvo Pärt’s “Da Pacem Domine”: world premiere of a new version

On November 2, the world premiere of the new version for string orchestra of Arvo Pärt’s choral work “Da pacem Domine” (2004/2006) takes place at All Souls’ Day concert in Tallinn Dome Church. The concert programme titled as “My soul thirsts” includes also orchestral works “Silouans song” (1991), “Psalom” (1985/1995) and “Für Lennart in memoriam” (2006) by Arvo Pärt and Mass No. 2 in G major by Franz Schubert.

The performers of the All Souls’ Day concert are Tallinna Chamber Orchestra, project chorus and soloists Heli Veskus (soprano), Mati Kõrts (tenor) and Rauno Elp (baritone) conducted by Andres Mustonen. Choirmasters are Aarne Saluveer and Andres Heinapuu. The organiser of the event is Tallinn Philharmonic Society in co-operation with Tallinn Dome Church congregation and Tallinn Cultural Heritage Department.
