Eduard Tubin Museum will be opened

On June 18 at 2 pm, Eduard Tubin Museum will be opened in renovated Alatskivi Castle. Stationary exposition of Estonian music classic’s life and work was compiled by Estonian Theatre and Music Museum and introduces Tubin’s schoolmates, gives an overviews of his music. His personal things, manuscripts, books, recordings of Tubin’s music, films and photos made by composer himself are exposed to view.

 

Eduard Tubin’s son Eino Tubin will be present at the festive opening where performers are pianist Tanel Joamets, Tartu String Quartet, baritone René Soom, Tartu University Chamber Choir and others.

Museum was accomplished in cooperation with Alatskivi Parish and Estonian Ministry of Culture.
