On November 15 and 16, Arvo Pärt’s music will be performed in Denmark by young musicians and Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen under the baton of Morten Ryelund. The program includes world premiere of Fratres for viola and chamber orchestra (2008), soloist Ida Speyer Grøn.
The concerts will take place on November 15 at 6 pm at Kronborg Castle, Helsingør and November 16 at 2 pm at Dunkers Kulturhus, Helsingborg. Besides Fratres the program also consists of Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten, „The Deer’s Cry”, These Words…, „Summa” and „Da pacem Domine”. Pärt’s music will be performed by Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen, Helsingørs Child and Youth Symphony Orchestra, Malmö Symphony Orchestra’s Youth Orchestra and different choirs.
The concerts will take place within the pedagogical collaboration project Music of Silence of Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen and Commune of Helsingør.
