Tõnu Kõrvits and Galina Grigorjeva at the Scandinavian Saxophone Festival

From April 1 to 5, the 4th Scandinavian Saxophone Festival is held in Drammen, Norway. The 4th edition of the festival continues the amazing and hugely successful saxophone festival that in 2011 gathered more than 45 saxophonists from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Japan, Argentina, Switzerland and the USA. This year’s festival hosts saxophone players from Australia, France, Argentina, Spain, Sweden, Holland, Denmark and Norway.

The festival includes 7 concerts, of which one is dedicated to Baltic music. The concert “Baltica” will take place on April 3 at 7 pm in Drammen Sande church, performed will be four pieces: Singing Over the Sea, Chorales of Thule, The Assignation and Landscapes from a Night Train by Tõnu Kõrvits, a saxophone quartet by Galina Grigorjeva, as well as music by Arvo pärt, Rihards Dubra and Ester Mägi. Tõnu Kõrvits and Galina Grigorjeva will be present at the festival.
