The premiere of Erkki-Sven Tüür's String Quartet in Munich and performances in Germany and London

On September 13, Tüür’s String Quartet No. 2 Lost Prayers will be premiered in Munich Prinzregententheater. This is commissioned work of the 61st ARD International Music Competition for string quartets in the semifinal. Erkki-Sven Tüür tells about his new work to Bayerischer Rundfunk.

Tüür’s music can be listened in European concert halls in September even more. On September 15, Architectonics I (1984) for wind quintet will be performed by The Lekker Quinet in London Kings Place. On September 27 and 28, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen under the baton of Paavo Järvi will play Tüür’s string cycle Action.Passion.Illusion (1993) at the Premiere Subscription Concert Syntheses in Die Glocke. On the September 30, Bremen orchestra will appear on the stage of Beethovenfest in Beethovenhalle Bonn, where together with Hilliard Ensemble Tüür’s Questions… (2007) will be performed.
