From April 18 to 21, international choir festival will take place once again in Tallinn. At the competition, children’s choirs, youth choirs, female choirs, mixed choirs and chamber choirs will compete, also a category of contemporary music is opened.
At this year’s festival, obligatory songs are written only by Estonian authors like Arvo Pärt, Veljo Tormis and Galina Grigorjeva. In addition to competition rounds, also festival concerts will take place in Estonia Concert Hall, Niguliste Church and Tallinn Secondary Science School. Concerts on April 19 at 7 pm and April 20 at 6 pm can be listened also via Klassikaraadio.
The artistic director of festival is conductor Mikk Üleoja, festival is organised by Estonian Choral Association.
