Tallinn Guitar Festival takes place from June 9 to 15 in Tallinn House of Blackheads, Kumu Art Museum and Tallinn TV Tower. One of the main guests of this year festival is Grammy winner guitarist and composer Andrew York who gives a recital on June 11 at 7 pm in Kumu Art Museum. From among Estonian music, festival focuses on René Eespere, who considers guitar as one of his favourite instrument. Selection of his guitar music can be listened at the opening gala Beauty of Northern Guitar Music on June 9 at 7 pm in House of Blackheads, where guitarists Tiit Peterson (festival’s artistic durector) and Vahur Kubja together with Harry Traksmann (violin), Aurelia Eespere (voice), Neeme Punder (flute), Tauno Saviauk (flute) and Donato D’Antonio (guitar, Italy) will appear on the stage. Festival ends with the performance of Riho Sibul and Robert Jürjendal on June 15 at 9 pm in Tallinn TV Tower with the combination of acoustical guitars and electronical sounds.
