Tallinn String Quartet celebrates its 35th anniversary

The Tallinn String Quartet (Tallinna Keelpillikvartett) featuring Urmas Vulp (violin), Olga Voronova (violin), Toomas Nestor (viola), and Levi-Danel Mägila (cello) celebrates its 35th anniversary.

On December 9, the Tallinn String Quartet will perform at the large hall of the Tallinn Central Library, playing works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Tõnu Kõrvits. On December 22 the Tallinn String Quartet will perform Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 16 in F Major, Op. 135 and Franz Schubert’s String Quintet in C major, D. 956 together with cellist Aare Tammesalu in the Palace Music concert series at the Kadriorg Palace.

Tallinn String Quartet was established in 1984, and it has had the longest continuous performing career of any chamber group in Estonia. The quartet has performed in Estonia, and across Europe, as well as in Japan, Canada and Israel, participated in different international music festivals and released several CDs with Estonian music.
