On January 10, 2026 at 6 p.m., guitarist and composer Robert Jürjendal's 60th anniversary concert "GAMMA" will take place in the Tallinn House of Blackheads, that is a great opportunity to experience his ensemble and orchestral music, most of which was composed between 2023 and 2025.
On stage there will be Ensemble Auftakt, Estonian Sinfonietta and several excellent soloists: Ingely Laiv-Järvi (English horn), Karl Johann Lattikas (vibraphone), Theodor Lattikas (classical guitar) and the composer himself on semi-acoustic guitar and electronics.
As the founder of the Weekend Guitar Trio, Robert Jürjendal's creative journey has been inspired by discovering new musical ensembles. One of them is certainly the Estonian Sinfonietta, which in 2024 commissioned the author's since largest musical work, "Gamma" for semiacoustic guitar/electronics and chamber orchestra.
The concept of "gamma" is widely used in many scientific fields. As a composer, I am most interested in the topic of color palette, which is used in the art world as a concept called an artist’s "color passport". - Robert Jürjendal
