Premiere of Tõnu Kõrvits’s chamber work in Germany

 
On June 19, Tõnu Kõrvits’s Moonlight, Summer Moonlight (text: Emily Jane Brontë) for voice, violin, cello and piano will be premiered in Germany. Piece will be performed by Iris Oja (mezzo soprano), Harry Traksmann (violin), Marrit Gerretz-Traksmann (piano) and Anja Lechner (cello). Concert will take place in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Nieheim, in Gut Holzhausen and is part of the literary and music festival Wege durch das Land. Lyrik-Session on June 19 lasts the whole day, while the reading of contemporary literature alters with concerts. Music part will be taken care of the previously mentioned musicians, performing in addition to Kõrvits’s piece also music by Arvo Pärt and Valentin Silvestrov, as well as Malle Maltis’s piece A Match (text: Algernon Charles Swinburne) for mezzo soprano and cello.
