Organ concert of Andres Uibo in Notre-Dame de Paris

Tomorrow, on March 7, Estonian organist, composer and the professor of Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre  Andres Uibo will give a concert in the Notre-Dame de Paris. He will play music by Dietrich Buxtehude,  Johann Sebastian Bach as well as Arvo Pärt and Uibo himself.

Program:
Dietrich Buxtehude (1637-1707) Passacaglia in D minor BuxWV 161, that was is generally acknowledged as one of his most important works, and was possibly influence on Bach’s Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor (BWV 582), as well as Brahms music.
Arvo Pärt (1935) Trivium – one of his first pieces in so called Tintinnabuli style in the year 1976
Andres Uibo (1956) And I Heard... – the second movement from Andres Uibo´s Apocalypsis Symphony  for the Great Organ.
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) Passacaglia And Fugue In C-minor, BWV 582 – one of Bach’s most important and well-known works, and an important influence on 19th and 20th century passacaglias.
