Mirjam Tally’s orchestral work „Lament“ to be premiered in Sweden

In January 23, Mirjam Tally’s new orchestral work Lament will be premiered in Sweden. New work will be performed by Norrlands Operan Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Rumon Gamba in Norrlands Operan Concert Hall, Umeå. Concert is a part of a project Beethoven & Beyond that within 12 days presents all Beethoven’s symphonies and nine newly commissioned pieces inspired by Beethoven from authors like B Tommy Andersson (b. 1964), Tobias Broström (b. 1978), Kim Hedås (b. 1965), Fredrik Högberg (b. 1971), Mats Larsson Gothe (b. 1965), Katarina Leyman (b. 1963), Kent Olofsson (b. 1962), Sven-David Sandström (b. 1942) and Mirjam Tally (b. 1976).

All the performances are preceded by the introduction by Sweden’s leading Beethoven expert, Åke Holmquist, who will share facts and tell stories about Beethoven, his life and works.
