Peeter Margus

b. January 19, 1995

The Estonian violinist Peeter Margus (1995) begun his studies in 2002 at Collegium Educationis Revaliensis (Old Town Educational College) under the guidance of Tiina Pangsep and from 2009–2014 in the class of Ivi Tivik. In 2019 he obtained his bachelor’s degree in from the Sibelius Academy in Finland and in 2022 master’s degree cum laude from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in the class of prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. From 2016 to 2022 Peeter was a member of the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra. Since 2022 he is working in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre as a junior research fellow and obtaining a PhD degree. Margus is the concertmaster of Estonian Sinfonietta.
