MÄRT-MATIS LILL’S MUSIC AT THE CONCERT FOR CHILDREN

Composer Märt Matis Lill has written music for Estonian National Symphony Orchestra’s concert for children titled Orchestra and Fairy Tale. Orchestral work consists mostly of arrangements of Henry Purcell’s music. Concert-performance is build up on how conductor introduces the orchestra and his job to four fairy tale characters. Concert and a fairy tale begin to co-exist. The director of the performance is Maria Usk, stage designer Rosita Raud, actors Venno Loosaar, Toomas Tross, Haide Männamäe and Mait Trink, conductor Risto Joost. Concerts for children will take place on May 8 at 12 pm in Pärnu Concert Hall and May 9 at 11 am and 2 pm in Estonia Concert Hall, Tallinn. Concert is open to everybody from 4 year old.

ENSO has had projects addressed to children also previously – popular have been concerts for children like Limpa (2007), Buratino, Friends and the Orchestra and Musical Circus (2005).
