Linda-Anette Verte

Linda-Anette Verte has graduated from the Tallinn Music High School with Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny (2012) and received her Bachelor’s degree from the Sibelius Academy in Finland under the guidance of Prof. Tampere-Bezrodny. Currently, she is obtaining her Master’s Degree in violin performance at the same institution with Prof. Réka Szilvay. As an exchange student, she has studied at the USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles with Prof. Professor Pamela Frank. She has participated in masterclasses of Michael Vaiman, Daniel Nodel, Päivyt Meller, Anna-Liisa Bezrodny, Pavel Berman, Oleh Krysa, Olivier Charlier, Sergei Kravchenko, Jessica Linnebach, Mi-kyung Lee, Midori Goto, and others.

Linda-Anette Verte has taken part in numerous festivals and has won several prizes at national and international competitions, including 2nd prize and a special prize for Tõnu Kõrvits’s piece „Elegy for Solitude“ at the Estonian String Competition (2015), Laureate Diploma and three special prizes with pianist Sten Heinoja at I Estonian Piano Chamber Music Competition (2015), 3rd prize at International Paolo Serrao International Music Competition For Young Violinists in Italy (2015) and 1st prize at the Renaissance International Contest-Festival in Armenia (2014).

In the season of 2015/2016, she was an apprentice at the National Arts Center Orchestra in Ottawa, Canada. In 2016–2019 she was the concertmaster of the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she has participated in orchestras such as the Estonian Sinfonietta, the Estonian Festival Orchestra and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. Currently, she has mainly dedicated herself to solo and chamber music performances. She has been the violin teacher at the Heino Eller Music School in Tartu.

Concert tours have taken her to Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the USA, Germany and Ukraine. As a soloist, she has performed with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra, the Pärnu City Orchestra, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra Uue Tänava Orkester, the Sibelius Academy Symphony Orchestra and chamber orchestra Kyiv Soloists under the conductors such as Paul Mägi, Jüri Alperten, Mikk Murdvee, Kaspar Mänd, Atso Almila, Rasmus Puur, Erki Pehk and Arvo Volmer. She has premiered the Violin Concerto of Estonian composer Rasmus Puur (2020). Her regular chamber music collaborators are pianists Sten Heinoja, Andre Hinn and Tanel Joamets and cellist Theodor Sink.

In 2017, an album of solo violin music and poems „With Two Hearts“ („Kahe südamega“), written by Verte and read by Estonian actress Harriet Toompere was published.

She is currently performing on a violin made by Andreas Hudelmayer in London in 2019.
