Triin Lellep

b. December 29, 1985 Tartu

Triin Lellep is a classical crossover singer and actress.

In 2009 she graduated from the Georg Ots Tallinn Music College in Estonia and the Helsinki Conservatory of Music in Finland in 2011, where she studied classical singing. She furthered her studies in Germany in Regensburg and Frankfurt, and France in 2015 studying music theory and opera.

During 2013–2014 she worked as an opera agent at the opera agency International Opera Artists. From 2014 she lived in Paris and worked as a freelance singer. Since 2018 she is a soloist with the Orchestre du Centre Philharmonique in France under the direction of Richard Beswick. As of 2020, she has written classical crossover-styled songs.

She has given recitals and participated in opera productions on stages in France, Estonia, Finland, Italy, and Germany.

In 2020 she released a book titled My Paris (Petrone Print) where she describes her experience of living in Paris.

Together with Margus Vaher, Lellep has co-hosted the program SuhteVimkad in Kanal2 (2020) and Kanal11 (2021), and together with Mart Sander the TV3 program Duubel: Õhtune vahetus (2021). Lellep made her film actor debut in Mart Sander's film Women's War (2021) and in the collection of short horror films Duubel 13 (2021). In Haapsalu Horror and Fantasy Film Festival (HÕFF) 2022 Mart Sander`s film The Sixth Secret won the Audience Award, where Triin Lellep has the leading role. For that role, she was also nominated as Best Actress at the Anatolia International Film Festival. She also plays in Rain Rannu´s Free Money (2023).

Her debut album Magic was released in July 2023, where classical crossover meets ambient pop. The record is characterized by mysticism, Nordicness, and a spiritual message.
