LAB Orchestra performs „Symphony for Soloists“

On 30th of January at 19 pm The Lab Orchestra Chamber Ensemble's new concert programme will be performed at concert venue Mederi Saal.

The program „Symphony for Soloists“ consists symphonic pieces by Ludwig van Beethoven, Felix Mendelssohn, Franz Schubert and Gabriel Fauré arranged for smaller ensemble and will be performed by twelve young and bright musicians.

Tanel Nurk, the artistic leader of the orchestra, was rewriting symphonic music for a smaller ensemble, which contains as well rather non-orchestral instruments like accordion. A good example for such a project may be found with the EnsembleMini and their miniMahler-concerts in Berlin. The concert will provide this extraordinary idea now also to the Estonian audience. Listen to the symphonic pieces like you have never done them before.

Program:
Arrangements for different chamber ensembles:
Ludwig van Beethoven – 3rd Symphony (1st movement)
Felix Mendelssohn – Overture “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”
Franz Schubert – 8th Symphony (1st movement)
Gabriel Fauré – Pavane
