Karin Sarv

Karin Sarv graduated from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2006 where she studied viola with Viljar Kuusk. She continued her education on master level studies, which she completed in 2011 under the supervision of Prof Peeter Paemurru. She has improved her skills in master courses of Prof Dobrovski, Prof Christian Euler Prof Wolf and others.

In 20015–2012, Karin Sarv worked as the third concertmaster of viola section in Estonian National Opera Theatre Symphony Orchestra, performing during that time several solos. She has also played in several orchestras, like Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Theatre Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and many international youth orchestras (Sweden, Germany, Slovenia). Since 2012, Karin works in Tallinn Chamber Orchestra. She is also demanded chamber musician, she has performed in several ensemebles, such as string quartets Muusa and Prezioso and YXUS Ensemble. With YXUS Ensemble she performed Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Herbstmusik (2013) and Tierkreis (2014). Karin Sarv also belongs to String Trio Fresh, founded in 2013.
