Music by Arvo Pärt at the CAFe Budapest



Hungary’s most important festival of the contemporary arts takes place from October 2 to 18 and consists of almost 110 events, several concerts present also music by Arvo Pärt.

On October 6, Pannon Philharmonic will perform Arvo Pärt’s Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten in the Grand Hall of Liszt Academy. The program of Hungarian Radio Choir in the Budapest Music Center on October 8 includes Arvo Pärt’s Two Slavic Psalms, Most Holy Mother of God, Für Alina (Balázs Réti  on piano), Two Lullabies, Nunc dimittis and Dopo la vittoria. Fratres for violin, string orchestra and percussion will be played in Müpa Budapest by Sergei Krylov and the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra on October 10. On October 16, Arvo Pärt's composer recital takes place in Budapest Music Centre. Danubia Orchestra Óbuda under tha baton of Estonian conductor Erki Pehk will perform Orient & Occident, Trisagion, Spiegel im Spiegel and Tabula rasa.
