Olari Elts conducts "Eugene Onegin" in Norway

  In February, Olari Elts will conduct Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin, Russia’s most performed opera worldwide in Northern Norway. Four performances will be held on February 14 at Stormen Store Sal in Bodø, February 16 and 17 at KulturHuset Tromsø and February 19 at Harstad Kulturhus.

The leading roles will be sung by baritone Audun Iversen (Eugene Onegin) and soprano Kari Postma (Tatyana), the other roles will be filled by tenor Bror Magnus Tødenes (Lensky), bass Nikolai Didenko (Prince Germin, Russia), mezzo-sopranos Maria Nohr (Olga), Siv Oda Hagerupsen (Larina) and Ingunn Kilen (Filippyevna).

The director of Eugene Onegin is Ivar Tindberg, scenography by Gjermund Andresen and costumes by Anette Werenskiold.
