III Tallinn Bach Music Festival

The III Tallinn Bach Music Festival, started on January 1, will continue until January 7. It has grown from the series of daily organ concerts which are held during the 1st week of January at the St. Nicholas’s Church. Festival still offers 12 different concerts at the St. Nicholas’s Church and St. John’s Church in Tallinn. The concerts programs present mainly organ, instrumental, orchestral, choral and vocal works by Johann Sebastian Bach, but also organ music by Peeter Süda, Andres Uibo and Artur Kapp will be performed.

Festival features outstanding Estonian organists Andres Uibo, Ulla Krigul, Denis Kasparovitch, Aare-Paul Lattik, Tiit Kiik, Toomas Trass and Tiia Tenno and acknowledged guests Peter van Dijk (Holland), Edouard Oganessian (France) and Roman Perucki (Poland). Arete Teemets (soprano), Ka Bo Chan (alto), Anto Õnnis (tenor), Tõnis Kaumann (baritone), Aare Tammesalu (cello), Mari-Liis Uibo (violin), Arvo Leibur (violin), Lembit Orgse (harpsichord), Olev Ainomäe (oboe), Oksana Sinkova (flute), Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta with conductor Toomas Vavilov will also perform at the concerts.
