Works of Helena Tulve and Tatjana Kozlova at the “World Music Days 2012”

Works of Helena Tulve and Tatjana Kozlova were selected to the program of World Music Days 2012. Festival is organised by International Society of Contemporary Music and is the largest event dedicated to new music. Next year the annual festival will take place in different cities in Belgium from October 25 to November 4. From six works submitted by Estonian Composers’ Union, the ISCM council selected two to the festival program: Helena Tulve’s silences/larmes (2006) for soprano, oboe, tuned glasses and wind chimes, and Tatjana Kozlova’s Horizontals (2010) for 6-member chamber ensemble.

For both composer, this is a second time to participate in mentioned festival. Kozlova’s Dimension of Quiescence (2009) for alto saxophone, percussion and video (in cooperation with Tarvo Hanno Varres) was performed in Sydney in 2010, Tulve’s Ligne d’Horizon for large ensemble (2005) in Hong Kong in 2007.
