Olari Elts conducts Erkki-Sven Tüür’s music in France, Portugal and Finland

On March 4, Sainsbury Royal Academy Soloists will perform Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Insula deserta in Duke's Hall of Royal Academy of Music in London.

On March 4 and 5, Olari Elts will conduct the concert Tableaux d’une exposition in Lyon Auditorium, the main work is Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition (arr for orhestra by Maurice Ravel). Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Exodus and Michel van der Aa Violin Concerto is in the program as well, the orchestra is Orchestre National de Lyon.

On March 11, Elts will be already in front of Tapiola Sinfonietta in Espoo, Finland, conducting Tüür’s Symphony No. 8.

On March 12, Arcis Saxophon Quartett will give a concert in Allerheiligen-Hofkirche in Munich, presenting Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Lamentatio as well as works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Aleksandr Glazunov, Györgyi Ligeti, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Astor Piazzolla.

On March 22, Tüür’s music will be conducted once again by Olari Elts, this time in Casa da Música in Porto. Performers are Remix Ensemble, Coro Casa da Música, Ângela Alves (soprano), Leonor Barbosa de Melo (soprano), Iris Oja soprano (contra-alto, mezzo soprano) and João Terleira (tenor). Program consists of Erkki-Sven Tüür Salve Regina, Jay Schwartz’s Music for Chamber Ensemble, Toivo Tulev’s Be lost in the call and Alfred Schnittke’s Requiem.
