Nordic/Baltic percussion festival Percussion Plus takes place in Tallinn



From February 17 to 21 the biggest Nordic/Baltic percussion festival Percussion Plus takes place in Tallinn. Festival brings together over 150 professional percussionists, students at higher education level and youth on pre-academic level from more than twenty Nordic/Baltic music institutions. The programme includes ten public concerts, numerous workshops, master classes and panel discussions on a wide range of technical, instrumental, theoretical and aesthetic topics.

The Opening Concert will take place in Estonia Concert Hall on February 17 at 7 pm. Program continues on February 18 with the Concert of Premieres  in Estonia Concert Hall at 7 pm and Night Concert at 10 pm in St. Nicholas Church. Friday, February 19 starts with Teachers Concert in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre at 11 am and ends in Estonia Concert Hall at 7 pm with the concert of Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. Evening program includes the premiere of Tatjana Kozlova-Johannes's work as well as Erkki-Sven Tüür's Concerto for Marimba Ardor (soloist Heigo Rosin).
