Ensemble for New Music Tallinn performs a program "Silent Movie Night"



In a collaboration between Ensemble for New Music Tallinn and the Animated Dreams film festival in  Tallinn, Ensemble for New Music Tallinn presents the project Silent Movie Night. The project contains two performances of works of music and media, at Kanuti Gildi Saal in Tallinn, November 20 and 22 at 7.30 pm. The concerts are preceded with a presentation/lecture session at 11 am on 18th November at the Baltic Film and Media School.

The program is made of pieces of music and media (including animation, video art or short films). The highlights of the program is a premiere of a new animation Bird Flu by Estonian director Priit Tender with the premiere of its subsequent music by composer Märt-Matis Lill and an animation by world famous and highly celebrated animation director David O’Reilly with a newly written music by French composer Brice Catherin. As well as an excellent piece of music and video by German composer/artist Alexander Schubert. Composers are: Alexander Schubert, Brice Catherin, Märt-Matis Lill, Diana Rotaru, Yair Klartag, Ove-Kuth Kadak and Sabina Ulubeanu. Artists include: David O’Reilly, Priit Tender, Rainer Kohlberger, Alexander Schubert, Kiwa Noid, Anda Puscas and Mirona Radu.

Founded in 2012, ENMT is a platform to bring about fresh and newly perceived music to new generation of public and professionals. The ensemble is made of a core of principal members, main musicians, and a larger body of collaborators or guest artists. The musicians are: Mari-Liis Vihermäe (flute), Helena Tuuling (clarinet), Merje Roomere (violin), Talvi Nurgamaa (viola), Paul-Gunnar Loorand (cello), Arash Yazdani (conductor) and Tammo Sumera (electronics).
