MustonenFest 2015



On Friday, Decemeber 30, another Mustonenfest will begin. Andres Mustonen, the initiator and artistic director of the festival, has invited a selection of brilliant musicians to Estonia: Paul Padura-Skoda (piano), vocal ensemble Armenian Voices, Raschèr Saxophone Quartet, Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta, ensemble Red Priest, Anat Fort (piano), Hortus Musicus and Art Jazz quartet. The international cooperation presents the large scale works like Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi and Canticum Canticorum by Alexander Knaifel. On February 5, Raschèr Saxophone Quartet and Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta will do the first premiere of Peeter Vähi’s Violet Winds. Festival concerts take place mainly in Tallinn, but also in Pärnu and Jõhvi.

Festival continues in Israel, where concerts of Estonian and Israeli musicians take place from February 19 to 28 under the title Mustonenfest Tallinn-Tel Aviv 2015.
