IX Estonian Harpischord Festival

From April 9 to 20, the 9th Estonian Harpischord Festival will be held. The program of the festival offers seven concerts and recitals at Tallinn Town Hall, Estonian History Museum, Kõltsu manor, Estonian Children’s Literature Centre, Café Kloostri ait and House of Blackheads. In addition to our top harpsichordists Imbi Tarum and Julia Ageyeva Hess, the festival also features renowned performers like harpsichord player Kenneth Weiss (USA), clavichordist Anna Maria McElwain (Finland), Duo Ovocutters (Sonja Leipold – harpsichord, Christoph Hofer – accordion) from Austria, harpsichord player Marieke Spaans (Holland/Germany) with baroque violinst Anton Steck (Germany) and harpsichord player Fernando De Luca with recorder player Romeo Ciuffa (Italy). Also young Estonian harpsichord players will perform. At the opening concert, taking place on April 9 at 7 pm at Kõltsu manor, Rein Rannap’s new work Left in the Sand for two harpsichords will receive its premiere. Brand new work will be performed by Imbi Tarum and Julia Ageyeva Hess.
