Voces Musicales performes Dutch choral music


Chamber Choir Voces Musicales’ concert „Transparence“ will take place on 8th of March 16 pm at St. Elizabeth's Church in Pärnu and 9th of March 18 pm at Tallinn Methodist Church.  The programme comprise Dutch choral music by composers Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Alphons Diepenbrock and Ton de Leeuw. Conductor is Lodewijk van der Ree.

Chamber Choir Voces Musicales was founded in 1999 by conductor Risto Joost and comprised mainly students of Estonian Music Academy. During 14 years of activity Voces Musicales has become a high-level choir with an established and unique place in the Estonian musical life. The repertoire of Voces Musicales include works in diverse genres from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary music and also many important classical repertoire pieces. The choir has participated in various thematic concert series and festivals and represented Estonia successfully at international festivals in Japan, France, Israel, Latvia, Russia, Slovakia and Finland. During the first ten seasons the choir’s conductor was Risto Joost, with whom the choir continues to cooperate. Since 2011 principal conductor of the choir is Kaspar Mänd.
