Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir on concert tour in the United States

From November 10 to 22, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir will give 9 concerts in the United States. This time EPCC will mainly perform on the East coast, but also on the North. The opening concert of the tour will take place on November 10 at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York where EPCC will perform together with Estonian National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of maestro Neeme Järvi. The program consists of In principio and Da pacem Domine by Arvo Pärt, Overture No. 2 by Veljo Tormis, Symphony No. 5 by Jean Sibelius and Ave verum corpus by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The concert tour of EPCC continues with Daniel Reuss and a cappella vocal music at following concert venues:
November 12 at 8 pm, Reynolds Theater, Durham, North-Carolina
November 13 at 7.30 pm, St. John’s Episcopal Church, Washington DC
November 15 at 8 pm, Lenfest Center for the Arts, Lexington, Virginia
November 17 at 4 pm, Christ and Holy Trinity Church, Westport, Connecticut
November 19 at 7.30 pm, St. Peter in Chains Cathedral, Cincinnati, Ohio
November 20 at 7.30 pm, St Thomas Aquinas Church West Lafayette, Indiana
November 21 at 7 pm, St. Peter ja Paul Catholic Church, Naperville, Illinois
November 22 at 7.30 pm, Cathedral of St. Paul, Minnesota

The concerts will feature Estonian choral music by Arvo Pärt, Veljo Tormis, Mart Saar, Cyrillus Kreek and Rudolf Tobias, also works by Johannes Brahms and Alfred Schnittke will be performed. On November 21 and 22, „Cancion de el Alma“ by Edie Hill will receive its world premiere. EPCC has been regularly touring in the United States since 1990, last time the choir performed there together with Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and conductor Tõnu Kaljuste in 2008.
