Rein Rannap’s Soul Birds I, premiered with the great success in All Souls’ Day previous year, will get the sequel in Holy Week – Soul Birds II (Hingelinnud II) will be performed both in Tallinn and Tartu. Poetical song cycle is written on text by Indrek Hirv and dedicated to the Estonian Television Children’s Choir. Work will be performed by Estonian Television children’s choirs (choir masters Lii Leitmaa and Õnne-Ann Roosvee), Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and Bonzo, conductor is Toomas Vavilov. At the concert, Reti Saks’s illustrations for Michal Snunit’s book Soul Bird will be projected on church wall. Producers introduce the new piece as a work in which the brightness of children’s choirs and Bonzo’s manly word as well as Rannap’s melody and Hirv’s beautiful thoughts will unite.
