International Festival of Orthodox Sacred Music CREDO

From September 19 to October 1, the 19th International Festival of Orthodox Sacred Music CREDO will take place in Tallinn. The main goal of the festival is the preservation, development and popularization of Orthodox musical culture.

The festival features guest from Russia: soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg Oleg Sendetski (cello) and Gennadi Nionov (trumpet, countertenor) with organist Regina Kamenshchikova, concert choir „Perezvony“ of M. Glinka Children’s School of Arts (St. Petersburg), mixed choir “Rimchoir” (St. Petersburg), The Senior Concert Choir of Chorus Cappella in Veliky Novgorod, State Academic Choir named after A. Kozhevnikov (Moscow) and Priest Pavel Radin. Also mixed choir “K.O.O.R.“, children’s choir „Raduga“, male ensemble „Credo“, vocal studio „Allegro“, chamber choir „Elegy“, mixed choir „Ukraine“ and female choir „Viva Musica“ from Estonia will perform. The gala concert of the festival will be held on September 29 at 7 pm at Estonia Concert Hall.

On September 28, also the V International Contest of Sacred Music CREDO for choirs will take place within the framework of the festival at Tallinn Methodist Church.
