Festival „The World Drum“ in Tallinn

From November 8 to 10, percussion music festival The World Drum takes place in Tallinn. During these three days, festival presents diverse percussion cultures from around the world and joint jam-sessions at the end of the concert. The classical day performs the best works written for percussion. The event finishes with a day of jazz.

November 8 is the world music day in Rock Café, where the 10-member international ensemble Drums United will appear on the stage with the show Heartbeat at 8 pm.

November 9 is a classic day with the concert of Ensemble U: in Tallinn House of Brotherhood of Black Heads at 7 pm, where Tatjana Kozlova’s Ice Curves for percussion, phonogram and live electronics will be premiered by Vambola Krigul (percussion) and Tammo Sumera (live electronics).

On November 10 at 7 pm, jazz day starts in Tallinn House of Brotherhood of Black Heads. Concert features the best Estonian jazz drummers like Tanel Ruben, Reigo Ahven, Brian Melvin, Ahto Abner, Kaspar Kalluste, Tõnu Tubli and Eno Kollom together with an ensemble: Peedu Kass (bass), Virgo Sillamaa (guitar), Tanel Aljo (saxophone) and Joel Rasmus Remmel (piano).
