Works by Helena Tulve and Tatjana Kozlova at the World Music Days 2012

The annual festival of the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) takes place from October 25 to November 4 in six cities of Belgium: Antwerp, Bruges, Brussels, Ghent, Leuven and Mons. From amongs six pieces sent to World Music Days by Estonian Composers’ Union last year, works of Helena Tulve and Tatjana Kozlova were selected to the festival program by ISCM council. Their pieces will be performed by Belgian ensembles in Mons and Leuven. World Music Days presents altogether nearly 90 works by composers from all over the world.

Helena Tulve’s silences/larmes (2006) for soprano, oboe and wine glasses will be performed by Ensemble ON in Mons, Le Manège, on October 29. Tatjana Kozlova’s Horizontals (2010) for flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano and percussion will presented by ensemble ChampdAction (conducted by Jaan Bossier) in Leuven cultural centre Stuk, on October 26.
