German premieres of Arvo Pärt’s works and presentation of new CD

On October 13, German premieres of Arvo Pärt’s Adam’s Lament (2009), Alleluia-Tropus (2008/2010) and Salve Regina (2001/2011) for mixed choir and string orchestra will be performed in Munich Herkulessaal. The concert presents Arvo Pärt’s new authorial CD Adam’s Lament released by ECM, where in addition to mentioned works also Beatus Petronius for two choirs, eight woodwind instruments, tubular bells and string orchestra, Statuit ei Dominus for two choirs, woodwinds and string orchestra, L'Abbé Agathon for soprano, baritone, female choir and string orchestra and Two Lullabies for female choir and string orchestra are recorded. At the concert, Pärt’s music will be performed by Sinfonietta Rīga, Vox Clamantis and Latvian Radio Choir under the direction of Tõnu Kaljuste. The CD features also Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra.

Concert in Herkulessaal takes place in the framework of the exhibition „ECM: A Cultural Archeology“ at Haus der Kunst (November 23, 2012 – February 10, 2013).
