International Festival Of Orthodox Sacred Music

From September 21 to October 1, festival of Orthodox music will take place in Tallinn, Narva and Rakvere. Eight concerts present mainly choral music, performers are from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Belarus, Serbia and Estonia.

Within the festival, also international sacred music competition will take place, the final concert can be listened on September 23 at 7 pm in Estonia Concert Hall, Tallinn. Performers are: Children's choir Raduga (Tallinn), Choir Vdokhnoveniye (Moscow), Chamber Choir Mart-Akkord (Moscow), Women's Choir of Rimsky-Korsakov College of Music of St. Petersburg, Female Choir of Estonian Choral Conductors, Chamber Choir of the Gomel Oblast State Philharmonic (Gomel, Belarus) and Male Ensemble Credo (Tallinn, Estona).

Estonian choirs will appear on the stage on October 1 at 7 pm in Tallinn St. Charles’s Church, where sacred music will be performed by The Vocal and Choral studio Allegro (conductor Svetlana Zugarova), Chamber Choir Elegy (conductors Svetlana Zugarova and Tatyana Valikova), Women’s Choir Baltika (conductor Katrin Leete) and Chamber Choir of the Tallinn Technical University (conductor Ilmars Millers).

The festival’s goal is the preservation, development and popularization of Orthodox musical culture.
