Punkt is a music festival in Kristiansand in Norway held since 2005. The curators of the festival are record producers and remixers Jan Bang and Erik Honoré. The idea of the festival is to combine contemporary music with improvisational music – traditional concerts on the main stage are remixed, and the audience may listen to the remixes immediately after each concert. Punkt has also taken place in England and Germany.

The first evening of Punkt Tallinn 2011 consists of four concerts which will take place alternately at White and Olavi Hall in the House of the Brotherhood of Blackheads on April 20 at 7 pm. Firstly, Veljo Tormis’s choral music (The Songster's Childhood, God Protect Us from War!,We Are Given, songs from the cycles St. John’s Day Songs“, „Seventeen Estonian Wedding Songs“, „Votic Wedding Songs“) will be presented by Mixed Choir Noorus, conductor Raul Talmar. Helena Tulve’s stream 2 and Tatjana Kozlova’s Horizontalsfor chamber ensemble will be performed by contemporary music ensemble Ensemble U:. Their concert program also consists of O Pärt – Op art by Ukranian composer Vladimir Tarnopolski. After both concerts the remixed version of the previously performed program will follow by Jan Bang and Erik Honoré on electronics, guitarist Eivind Aarselt and vocalist Sidsel Endresen.

Last September, Mixed Choir Noorus with Veljo Tormis were invited to Punkt Festival in Norway by Jan Bang.

In addition to Mixed Choir Noorus and Ensemble U: the Punkt Tallinn 2011 will also feature Weekend Guitar Trio with Jan Bang on the second day, on April 21.
