Concert “Tubiniana” in Tokyo

Tomorrow, concert of music by Estonian great composer Eduard Tubin (1905–1982) will take place. The event is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the death of Eduard Tubin and will be accomplished by Estonian Music Project initiatiated by Takahiro Akiba – Japanese pianist and musicologist and the admirer of Estonian music. With the concert of Tubin’s chamber music they sincerely hope to bring the deeper interest and understanding of Japanese audiences toward wonderful music of Eduard Tubin. Together with Takahiro Akiba (piano), also another friend of Estonian music, pianist Yuko Yoshioka and Mika Akiba (violin) and Norihisa Shiraishi (flute) will appear on the stage. Concert will take place on June 5 at 7 pm in Tokyo Opera-City Recital Hall, in cooperation with Estonian Embassy in Tokyo, Japan-Estonia Friendship Association and International Eduard Tubin Society.
