Erkki-Sven Tüür’s orchestral works at the closing of the season of Sinfonietta Riga

Latvian chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga will close its season with Erkki-Sven Tüür’s orchestral works. The program includes Tüür’s accordion concerto Prophecy (2007) with the bright young Latvian musician Ksenija Sidorova being the soloist, and string cycle Action.Passion.Illusion (1993). Also Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 2 and Austrian contemporary composer HK Gruber’s Manhattan Broadcasts can be listened. Concert will take place on May 31 at 7.30 pm in Riga Great Guild Hall, orchestra will be conducted by its artistic director Normunds Šnē. An hour before the concert, conversation will take place with the participation of Normunds Šnē, Erkki-Sven Tüür and Latvian music journalist Orests Silabriedis.
