Vox Clamantis performs in Japan

From May 3 to 5, ensemble Vox Clamantis with its conductor Jaan-Eik Tulve will perform at festival La Folle Journée de Tokyo in Japan. This year's festival focuses on the Russian Orthodox music. Vox Clamantis appears at Tokyo International Forum with five concerts on 3, 4 and 5 May.

The main part of the program consists of six parts of Arvo Pärt’s work Kanon Pokajanen (1996), of which Ode I, Ode III, Ode VI, Kontakion, Ikos and Prayer after the Canon will be performed. The program also includes works Praise the Lord, My Soul (Estonian sacred folk tune) by Cyrillus Kreek and two of the Russian Orthodox hymns.

In the second half of May, Vox Clamantis is expected to International Gregorian Festival, which will run from 17 – 20 May in Watou, Belgium.
