Tallinn Music Week



From Thursday to Saturday, 183 bands and artists from 13 countries will be on the stages of Tallinn concert venues to perform at the biggest indoor festival in the Baltic region. This year’s TMW, so far with the greatest number of participants, has concerts on seven festival stages that include also city stages.

Estonian Music Development Centre together with the Estonian Association of Professional Musicians and Pille Lill Music Fund presents talented classical music interpreters at Estonia Concert Hall and Estonian Music Days Festival introduces Estonian contemporary music in the House of Brotherhood of Black Heads.

The showcase of classical stars will take place on March 31 from 1.30 pm to 5.15 pm at Estonia Concert Hall. 16 interpreters and 3 chamber ensembles will be introduced to local audience, as well as representatives of international music industry and music press: Heli Ernits, Age Juurikas, Sigrid Kuulmann-Martin, Andreas Lend, Helen Lokuta, Oliver Kuusik, Oksana Sinkova ja Virgo Veldi, Anne-Liis Poll ja Anto Pett, Rein Rannap, string trio Artimus Ensemble, saxophone quartet SaxEst and trio Arvo Leibur, Heiki Mätlik and Terje Terasmaa. As a guest, counter tenor Sergei Jēgers from Latvia will appear on the stage.


Music by Estonian contemporary composers could be listened on March 31 in the House of Brotherhood of Black Heads from 7 pm.

The mission of the festival, taking place for the fourth time, is to raise the reputation of Estonian music, to enhance the international development of local music industry and to promote Tallinn and Estonia as an exciting cultural tourism destination. On of the significant discussion topic at the music industry conference will be the future of copyright in the digital era. The conference will take place from March 30 to 31 at the Nordic Hotel Forum conference centre.
