6th Tallinn Winter Festival

The 6th Tallinn Winter Festival will take place from February 20 to 28. Five concerts will be held at Tallinn Town Hall, Hopner House and St. Charles church. List of performers include violinists Sigrid Kuulmann, Ivi Ots, pianists Age Juurikas, Piia Paemurru, Marko Martin, Mati Mikalai, Lea Leiten, vocalists Oliver Kuusik, Karolis Kaljuste, Toomas Kolk, flutist Oksana Sinkova, the Chamber Orchestra of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and many others. The Artistic Director of the festival is soprano Pille Lill.

This year, the organizer of the festival – Pille Lill Music Fund – has set up a fund to collect money for Estonian musicians to buy musical instruments. The motto of the festival is "Open your eyes, open your heart".
In addition to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Robert Schumann, Carl Maria von Weber, Claude Debussy, George Enescu, Ferenc Liszt and many others, Estonian composers’ (Ester Mägi, Marje Sink, Villem Kapp, Leo Tauts, Rudolf Tobias) pieces will also be performed.
