Neeme Järvi and Estonian National Symphony Orchestra will perform all Brahms’ symphonies

 

From January to May, Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and their chief conductor Neeme Järvi will perform all four symphonies by Johannes Brahms. The first concert will take place on January 27 in Estonia Concert Hall. All of the concerts will be recorded by the Estonian Public Broadcasting.

Second concert, entitled Sound of the Fiords, will take place on February 3.
Brahms’ Symphony No 2 and Halvorsen’s Fossegrimen and Bergensiana (soloist Ragnhild Hemsing, Hardanger fiddle) will be performed.
Together with pianist Alexander Markovich, ENSO and Neeme Järvi will give the third concert in this series on April 26 (Symphony No 3 and Scharwenka’s Piano Concerto No 4). The final concert of this season and the Brahms series will take place on May 4. The program consists of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 5 (soloist Kalle Randalu) and Brahms’ Symphony No 4.
