Tõnu Kaljuste will conduct Arvo Pärt’s music in USA

Tõnu Kaljuste will conduct Arvo Pärts’ work Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten (1977/1980) for string orchestra and bell at three times in USA: Chicago Symphony Center (23.01), New York Carnegie Hall (26.01) and Washington Strathmore Music Center (27.01).

This is Swedish National Youth Orchestra’s first tour in the United States. Nearly 100 best young musicians are conducted by the world’s foremost interpreter of Arvo Pärt, maestro Tõnu Kaljuste. In addition to Arvo Pärt’s music, program includes also August Söderman’s Swedish Festival Music, Tobias Broström’s double concerto Samsara (soloists Hugo Ticciati (violin) and Johan Bridger (marimba)) and Sergey Rachmaninov’s Symphony No. 2.
