New concerts of the Nordic Symphony Orchestra in the series Meeting Point Tallinn

On November 25 and 26 at 7 pm, the Nordic Symphony Orchestra gives two concerts of nordic music in the series ‘Meeting Point Tallinn’ in Estonia concert hall. The program includes Arvo Pärt’s Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten, Piano Concerto in A minor by Edvard Grieg and Symphony No 2 by Jean Sibelius. The orchestra is conducted by Anu Tali and the soloist of Greig’s Piano Concerto is pianist Mihkel Poll. The concert on November 25 is live broadcasted by Estonian Klassikaraadio.

The European tour of the orchestra continues with concerts of the same program in Budapest, Palace of Arts on November 27, in Maribor Union Hall on November 29, and in the Historical National Theatre of Bratislava on November 30. The concerts are part of the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011 program. www.nordicsymphony.com
