Evening of Estonian music in Moscow

On October 22 at 7 pm, concert dedicated to Estonian contemporary music will take place in Rachmaninoff Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory, where in addition to Arvo Pärt also less known Estonian composers will be introduced. Subscription concert belongs to the series Fabulous Journey that is directed by pianist Alexei Lyubimov. Performers are Professor Alexei Lyubimov and his students, soloists’ ensemble “New Music Studio”, chamber orchestra of faculty of historical and contemporary inpterpretation and soloists of Mark Pekarsky percussion ensemble. Vladimir Ivanov will give the Russian premiere of Urmas Sisask’s “Northern Sky” (1980–1987) and “Southern Sky” (1994–1995). Also music by Tõnu Kõrvits, Arvo Pärt and Lepo Sumera is in the programme. Concert includes a choreographic elements.
