Estonian chamber music in Paris

On October 14, a selection of Estonian chamber music will be performed in Paris, at Grand Salon des Invalides, in frame of Estonian cultural festival Estonie Tonique. At the concert Northern Light, a program of Estonian chamber music will be performed by Kirsti Kuusk (violin), Klarika Kuusk (piano) and Mark Drobinsky (cello).

Pianist Klarika Kuusk was born in Tallinn into a family of musicians. She graduated with honors from the Moscow Conservatory as a student of Professor Mikhail Voskresensky. Klarika Kuusk lives currently in Stockholm where she continues with her solo career and works as an accompanist and piano teacher. She has given concerts in many countries and continents: in Chile, Argentina, Italy, Russia, Estonia, Norway and Sweden.

Violinist Kirsti Kuusk was born in Tallinn and graduated from the Moscow Conservatory with Elizaveta Gilels and Maya Glezarova. She has worked as concertmaster with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra as well as with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (2005-2009). As a soloist she has performed with symphony orchestras and has given chamber music concerts in many countries - Estonia, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania. From 2010, Kirsti Kuusk has been living in Paris and playing with famous orchestras in France and Scandinavia.
As a duo, sisters Kristi and Klarika have been played since their early age.

Cellist Mark Drobinsky was born in Baku and graduated as a cellist from the Moscow Conservatory where he studied with Mstislav Rostropovich. From 1974, he has been living in Paris. He has made a number of recordings, he is often guest player in many festivals, he perfroms as a soloist and chamber player in Europe and elsewhere.
