Organist Ines Maidre’s concerts in the U.S.

From September 25 to October 14, organist Ines Maidre has six solo recitals and two master classes at the universities and churches of the Unites States of America. In varied concert programs, Maidre performs organ music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Kaspar Kerll, Ferenc Liszt, Guy Bovet, Kurt Wiklander, Bjarne Sløgedal and Estonian composers Peeter Süda, Alfred Karindi, Edgar Arro.

The first performance of this concert tour took place on September 25 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, Salt Lake City, UT. The program consisted of Prelude and fugue in g (1914/1920) by Peeter Süda, Battaglia by Kerll, Passacaglia in d by Buxtehude, Toccata in d by Bach, Scherzo Ostinato Op 2 by Wiklander etc. The next concerts were on October 2 at the National Cathedral, Washington D.C., October 4 at the Galbreath Chapel of Ohio University, October 7at the Auer Hall of Indiana University, Bloomington and October 9 at the First Presbyterian Church, Columbus. The last concert will take place on October 14 in Ames at the Bethesda Lutheran Church. In Ames, Ines Maidre will also lead a master class.

In the beginning of November, Ines Maidre will have a solo recital and a master class in Estonia, at St. Peter’s Church, Tartu. These events will take place on November 3, in the framework of 7th Hugo Lepnurm Music Days.
